About Acasus

We are a consultancy that drives major reforms in health and education around the world.

In health, we contribute towards improving global immunization rates. To date, we have supported governments across Asia, Africa and South America to radically increase immunization coverage and improve access to basic healthcare facilities, prenatal and maternity clinics in remote areas. Our education projects in South America and the Middle East have successfully provided access to basic education for millions of children.

We work in teams to support senior government officials (typically at ministerial or prime-ministerial level) in driving rapid reforms. The success of our projects depends on the dedication, development, and excellent work of our teams.

Role​ in Brief

User-focused design is at the heart of everything Acasus does. You will work on projects that use mobile applications, data analysis, and consulting to drive rapid improvements in public health and education services.

You will work with our engineering and consulting teams to create engaging, user-centric mobile and web applications. You will help define the way Acasus is portrayed and how we communicate with our co-workers, stakeholders, and users.

You will lead a small team of designers to improve the quality of design in our technology and paper products.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include

  • Work in a team to deliver ideas and simple designs

  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes

  • Create presentations for stakeholders and government officials

  • Take part in creative meetings

  • Follow established design principles in re-creating icons, illustrations or web-pages

  • Manage a small team of more junior designers

Our ideal senior designer & team leader will demonstrate

  • Three years of design team leadership experience (teams of at least 3-5 designers)

  • Fluency in English

  • Portfolio with at least a few examples of work related to mobile and web applications, and simple design like icons, illustrations/or photo-manipulation

  • Analytics knowledge and data driven UX/UI

  • Knowledge of creating Design Systems for digital products

  • Knowledge of mockup apps like InVision

  • Understanding of User-Centered Design and UX principles

  • Satisfactory knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Adobe XD) and Sketch

  • Ability to meet deadlines

Bonus skills

  • UI motion design

  • CSS / HTML

  • Experience in similar projects
