About Acasus

We are a consultancy that drives major reforms in health and education around the world.

In health, we are contributing towards improving global immunization rates. To date, we have supported governments across Asia, Africa and South America to radically increase immunization coverage and improve access to basic healthcare facilities, prenatal and maternity clinics in remote areas. Our education projects in South America and the Middle East have successfully provided access to basic education for millions of children.

We work in teams to support senior government officials (typically at ministerial or prime-ministerial level) in driving rapid reforms.

Context & Impact

Acasus has supported health and education reforms since 2013. Our team in Pakistan achieved the most rapid increase in vaccination coverage recorded to date — improving the coverage of life-saving child vaccines across the Punjab province from 50% to 90% in just two years.

Currently, our Team is working on increasing immunisation coverage in the country. 

The Challenge

  • Work with senior government health officials, and international partners, to dramatically improve health outcomes

  • Design and implement new systems for improving vaccination

  • Develop excellent relationships and a trusted advisor status within government

  • Energize existing systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Much of our day-to-day work involves helping officials to

  • Plan and develop strategies

  • Monitor progress

  • Use data and other information

  • Build capacity and skills throughout the system

  • Improve coordination and cooperation

  • Solve problems and challenges as they arise

  • Access international evidence and lessons about what works

  • Consulting with stakeholders

 We Look For

  • 3+ years of experience working either with a consulting firm or with a delivery unit with a health or related department in Pakistan

  • Good command over delivery, government reform and some experience managing teams

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with managing senior stakeholders, particularly in difficult negotiations

  • Strong analytical and leadership skills

  • Excellent English, Fluency in Pashto

  • Good communication skills

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills (with good evidence of structured problem solving and a keen sense of prioritization)

  • Strong drive, motivation and commitment

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills

  • Interest in social issues and healthcare

  • Motivation to join our organization

  • Willingness to travel
