Senior Associate

About Acasus

Acasus is working on discovering the potential health and education solutions in developing countries.

Our teams support senior officials in government and international organizations to drive rapid transformational reforms.

Our teams include a mix of experienced international consultants and highly talented locally-hired staff. Our success depends on being able to attract talented people and provide them with high quality professional development.

Currently, our team is working on supporting governments for improving education solutions and learning outcomes across Sub-Saharan Africa using technology and/or other methods. 

The Role

  • Understand advocacy, accountability and technology related initiatives across education in the continent;

  • Conduct research and landscape analysis on education reforms in sub-Saharan Africa;

  • Understand and document major gaps and opportunities around a set of important education related topics;

  • Support the development of plans and strategies to develop solutions for these gaps;

  • Support the development of organizations and entities if necessary;



Much of our day-to-day work involves helping officials to

  • Plan and develop strategies;

  • Monitor progress;

  • Use data and other information;

  • Build capacity and skills;

  • Improve coordination and cooperation;

  • Solve problems and challenges as they arise;

  • Access international evidence and lessons about what works;

  • Consulting with stakeholders;

 We Look For

  • 6+ years of consulting experience in the public sector in Africa (ideally education);

  • Strong knowledge and experience working in development sector, communications and/or advocacy (ideally education);

  • Ideally based in Nigeria; 

  • Strong analytical and leadership skills;

  • Excellent English;

  • Good communication skills;

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills;

  • Strong drive and motivation;

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills;
