About Acasus

Acasus drives major reforms in health and education globally. In health, we contribute towards improving global immunization rates. To date, we have supported governments across Asia, Africa and South America to radically increase immunization coverage and improve access to basic healthcare facilities, prenatal and maternity clinics in remote areas. Our education projects in South America and the Middle East have successfully provided access to basic education for millions of children.

Our team of software engineers based in Switzerland develop tools that amplify the ability of our consultant teams around the world to create rapid system change on the ground. Their dynamic development of specialized data gathering, analysis, and GIS tools are key in delivering results to improve health and education outcomes. 

Role​ in Brief

You will have the opportunity to apply the latest technologies in meaningful projects, gain experience in a start-up environment, and shape dynamic ways of working. 

You will work closely with our designer and release manager on products to support projects in the field. Your work will be applied in the field with immediate effect, and each development will directly impact users on the ground.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Integrating mobile products with backend services

  • Building systems for collecting data in challenging locations

  • Creating and modifying existing codes in mobile applications

  • Working with the design team to prioritize features and make iterative improvements

  • Working collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment

Our ideal Mobile Software Engineer will demonstrate

  • Fluency in English

  • Knowledge of React, Redux, React Native

  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and generally native Android development

  • Excellent knowledge of the Android SDK

  • Experience with Location API and Bluetooth API

  • Google Play Console knowledge

  • Firebase skills

  • Bonus skills

    • Knowledge of SQL databases and Google Cloud Platform

    • Familiarity with Node.js, RESTapi, Vanilla JS, Express.js

    • iOS engineering and deploying experience
