About Acasus

We are a consultancy that drives major reforms in health and education around the world.

In health, we contribute towards improving global immunization rates. To date, we have supported governments across Asia, Africa and South America to radically increase immunization coverage and improve access to basic healthcare facilities, prenatal and maternity clinics in remote areas. Our education projects in South America and the Middle East have successfully provided access to basic education for millions of children.

We work in teams to support senior government officials (typically at ministerial or prime-ministerial level) in driving rapid reforms. The success of our projects depends on the dedication, development, and excellent work of our teams.

Role​ in Brief

You will use the latest data management technologies to improve health and education services for citizens in a number of developing countries including D. R. Congo, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mozambique and others.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include

  • Building and managing ETL processes

  • Working with consultants to build and optimise scoring and ranking metrics used to show improvements in health and education services

  • Creating management reports and data packs to help leaders of education and health services identify opportunities to improve

  • Maintaining Python and SQL code used for data transformations

  • Creating long-term data strategies to support our mission

Our ideal data engineer will have

  • At least three years experience and proficiency with SQL

  • Experience with Google Cloud (GCP)

  • At least three years experience with creating and maintaining ETL processes

  • Experience with Javascript or Node is a plus

  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders

  • Excellent English, written and spoken

  • Excellent communication skills
